MIG is coordinating a new project – the North South Beef Alliance – to add value to the beef supply chain by building relationships and effective partnerships with cattle producers from the northern pastoral areas and farmers in the southern agricultural regions of Western Australia. The project is supported through the Royalties for Regions Grower Group R&D Grants Program.
Revell Science is helping compile information packages and management protocols to assist producers to maximise the efficiency of a North South Alliance. Managing animals in a way that maximises their capacity to adapt to relocation from pastoral to agricultural regions is an important part of a successful system. Getting this right helps the animals, the people, the landscapes and the economics.
